Introduction

Hi, my name is Jakob Henriksson. I've done research related to the Semantic Web at TU Dresden, Germany.

What are your thoughts about the Semantic Web? Is it the next Big Thing?

Probably not the "next Big Thing", but it's going to seep into technology more and more and eventually be an integral part of most advanced software/KBs.

Which new technologies would you like to learn? Have you worked with any "semantic" technologies such as XML, RDF, OWL, GRDDL, or SPARQL?

I would love to learn more about SPARQL and real-life RDF.

Which applications or web sites will make the Semantic Web a reality in the public eye?

Probably RDF backed knowledge bases like FreeBase, see the application http://mqlx.com/~david/parallax/index.html
