There is a lot happening these days in government involvement with open linked data. We've talked about this a number of times in our previous meetings. But in this month's meeting, we move from talking to doing.

Our guest speaker will be Kevin Novak, from the W3C committee on eGovernment. The W3C has put guidelines up for creating and linking Open Linked Data for eGovernment - see Tim Berners-Lee's http://www.w3.org/Des... for details. Kevin will discuss the work that the W3C has been doing.

In this session, we also invite those who have published linked data to show us how. We will be getting into the technical details, with demos and code examples.

Cory Casanave, of Model Driven, will demonstrate the creation of linked data using models from the GSA and also show a projection to the FEA Data Reference Model.

We will be meeting in the SHRM conference room in Alexandria, at the TopQuadrant office. The best place to park is in the garage under King Street Station building (not the metro, this is the name of an office complex). Entrances are on Diagonal Road opposite the metro station. If you need help with getting to the location, Metro, or parking, please contact Eileen Daley at [masked] or at [masked].

See http://www.stationmas... for a detailed map of the area.
